Description

Embark on an unforgettable journey to the heart of Panama's rainforest with the Embera Village Day Tour. Your adventure begins with a pickup from your Panama City hotel around 8:00 AM. Enjoy a scenic one-hour drive to the point where you'll meet the Emberá tribe and board a traditional dugout canoe. As you glide upriver, take in the lush surroundings and, if conditions allow, stop for a refreshing dip at a spectacular waterfall. Upon arrival at the village, receive a warm traditional greeting with music and smiles from the villagers. Spend the first few minutes exploring the village at your own pace before attending a short presentation about Embera culture, traditions, and crafts. Afterward, savor a delicious lunch featuring fish and patacones (fried plantains). Post-lunch, you have the option to join a short jungle hike with a village elder to learn about medicinal plants. Enjoy free time to wander, purchase unique crafts, or engage in conversations with the Emberá people. The day concludes with traditional shamanic and celebratory dances and music, ensuring a memorable cultural experience. Finally, board the canoe for the return trip downriver and back to Panama City, arriving around 4:00 PM.
