Description

This tour is perfect for those who want to explore beyond the paradisiacal beaches and immerse themselves in the unique traditions of the Guna indigenous community. Explore the Caribbean paradise in Panama on a guided day trip, with light breakfast, lunch and a welcome cocktail included. Snorkel in the famous sunken ship, walk and swim in the starfish sandbanks and have a cultural exchange visiting the native Guna community. The day tour to the San Blas Islands begins early with a 5 AM pickup (shared between 6 persons) from your hotel. Hop into the 4x4 car and make a quick stop at the supermarket for road snacks and breakfast before leaving town. ( In High Season we recommend to prepare one day before for snacks that you want to bring for the tour, we try do not stop because in weekends has hight traffic in the area) Continue your journey towards the islands, passing 42 kilometers of mountainous area. You’ll then reach the port of Carti to take the boat to the islands. Step on board and enjoy a welcome mojito or cocoloco before departing for the first stop at The Guna Village Visit. Explore a traditional Guna village where you can learn about the community’s way of life, traditional customs, and social structure. The Guna are known for their colorful clothing, handcrafted molas (intricate embroidered panels), and their autonomous governance. Mola Craft Witness the art of making molas, the vibrant and intricate textiles that are a significant part of Guna culture. You may also have the opportunity to purchase molas directly from local artisans. Island Hopping and Snorkeling Explore Nearby Islands: We visit 2 gourgeous beach island and the natural Pool Snorkeling: Snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean, where you can see vibrant coral reefs, tropical fish, and other marine life. Light Breakfast, Welcome Cocktail and Lunch is included. Very Important: The pick-up time at the different hotels in Panama City starts from 5:00 am - 5:45 am. • Bring medication for motion sickness • Pickup from hotels outside Panama City (Westin and Dreams Playa Bonita) is an additional charge of $10 per person • During the summer season on the islands between December and February we have a lot of wind from the north, so it is normal to have waves on the speedboat ride, so bring a change of clothes and protection for your belongings The rainy season is between March and November the rain does not merit cancellation of the tour • The lunch ss based on the catch of the day and its menu varies according to restaurant availability.
