The Industry Academy, which was first launched at the Locarno Festival in 2014, is a program for young professionals working in the different fields already described; and has been created to help them position themselves in the film industry and to allow them to interact directly with regional and international industry professionals and key players.
The program also acts as a shortcut for a generation entering the independent film industry, encouraging their progress, helping them to better understand the challenges and expand their network, and thus also seeks to build bridges between different markets in Europe, North America and Latin America.
The call for applications to the Panama-Locarno Industry Academy International 2020 opens from January 27 to February 14 for young professionals preferably already working with an established company, or having significant experience in the above mentioned fields.
IMPORTANT: Although most sessions will be held in Spanish, a very good level of English (spoken and written) is required.
To apply, the following documents are required:
- Registration form
- CV
- Motivation letter (in English and Spanish)
- Photo of the participant
- The call will remain open until 14 February.
- The selected participants will be announced on March 2.
