Things to o in Panama

Panama-Tourism recommends: Visiting the renewed Calzada de Amador or Causeway, is one of the main attractions of Panama today, built during the year 1,913 with the material extracted from the construction of the Panama Canal (Culebra Cut). Today, it is the preferred place for recreation (bicycle, walking, skating and others) and outdoor entertainment.

Located at the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal, it connects the Naos, Culebra, Perico, and Flamenco islands. Another attraction that can be found is the Smithsonian Marine Exhibition Center, a place to learn about the environment, fauna, flora and to become familiar with some species of animals from both the Pacific and the Caribbean. Also, do not forget the good variety of restaurants, from fast food, American chains, Italian food, seafood, barbecues, and our typical Panamanian food among others.

The bars and lounge are also very varied, and where you can have a good time. Months ago the expansion was inaugurated, which includes 4 kilometers of route, which cost approximately 72 million dollars. The extension of the road is two to four lanes of the road, between the roundabout of the Paseo de la Bandera, to the entrance of the Flamenco Island, includes the construction of sidewalks, lighting, bike lanes, parking and parks.

To this new image is added the Biomuseo of the architect Frank Gehry; the existence of three hotels with more than 300 rooms; the reactivation by the Tourism Authority of the construction of the Amador Convention Center, which will have capacity for more than 20 thousand people. The renewed Calzada de Amador or Causeway, located at the entrance of the Panama Canal, is the perfect place to walk and enjoy a pleasant time with family and friends in one of its restaurants of typical and international food.

A place that you can not miss because of its beauty and history.
